KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii — Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Adam T. Sharp, a 2010 graduate of Edison High School, received a Certificate of Commendation recently while serving with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 362, Marine Corps Base, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
Sharp’s military occupational knowledge, dedication, and professionalism proved highly instrumental in the embarkation of 14 Sea Stallion CH-53D helicopters and 110, 000 pounds of unit cargo in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
He also assisted in validating and requesting the required support for more than 14 inter-theater movements of personnel, cargo, and aircraft into and out of Afghanistan.
Additionally, Sharp coordinated and executed more than 10 embarkation meetings to ensure accurate weights, detailed unit density lists and standardized methods were implemented by 18 sections within the squadron.
Sharp joined the Marine Corps in August 2010.
