LINDEN — The Liberty Science Center recently visited the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program at Soehl Middle School. A representative from the Liberty Science Center coordinated a “Science Sportacular” assembly that explored and demonstrated several key concepts in physics through the use of demonstrations and examples taken directly from the playing field. Mass, Newton’s Law, Spinning Bodies and Distribution of Force were all topics that were discussed. Pictured above, Deasiah Paige (grade 6) and Luis Sanchez (grade 7) participate in a demonstration.
