ELIZABETH — A Roselle couple welcomed their first baby who was the first child born in 2013 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center.

Jessica Buitrago and Jose Juan Rosas are the proud parents of Dylan who arrived at 11:36 am on January 1. He weighed in at 8 lbs, 6 oz and measured 20 ½ inches. Dylan is the first of an expected 2,400 babies that will be delivered at Trinitas this year.

Celebration was in order as members of the Labor and Delivery staff and Maternal Child Health staff presented the new mother and newborn with the traditional welcome basket that the staff presents to the first new arrival of each New Year.
