STATE – Nine county sheriffs who are up for re-election in 2013 are “double-dippers,” according to New Jersey Watchdog’s Mark Lagerkvist.
Among them are Union County Sheriff Ralph Froehlich, who earns a $142,728 salary plus an $85,296 pension, and Middlesex County Sheriff Mildred Scott, who earns a $191,198 salary plus a $61,248 pension according to Lagerkvist.
In October, New Jersey Watchdog presented a list of 51 double-dipping sheriffs and undersheriffs, and 49 remain in office.
