On Tuesday, Dec. 18, police were dispatched to Jeffries Street at 12:26 p.m. on a report of a burglary in progress. When officers arrived on scene, the victim reported that two males were seen in the alley alongside her residence. The victim told police that that she spoke to one of the suspects, who then ran away through the backyard. She found a first floor living room window open and the top lock of the rear entrance door unlocked.
A description was put out to other police units who were responding to the area. A short time later, Police Officer Joseph Holland stopped two men fitting the description and after a police investigation, the two suspects were arrested.
