METUCHEN – Democratic gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono announced Tuesday that her campaign has exceeded their fundraising goals for the shortened quarter, approaching nearly a quarter of a million dollars, most of which was raised in the last ten days.
“Over the past few weeks, my campaign for governor has seen an influx of support from all quarters, and our momentum grows by leaps and bounds daily,” Buono said. “I have personally had the opportunity to begin traveling the state to discuss the issues of importance to middle class taxpayers throughout New Jersey and, not surprisingly, the one common refrain that I hear over and over is that we need to create jobs and get people back to work.
“We will continue building momentum with a broad coalition across the state of people who have simply had enough of Governor Christie’s oppressive fiscal policies while we work to raise the money necessary to effectively communicate our message and do what it takes to bring the fight to the governor. New Jersey’s middle class taxpayers deserve nothing less,” she concluded.
