EDISON — Middle School students at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School entertained parents, faculty and staff members and friends at the annual Winter Concert on December 13. Various bands and choirs performed beautifully under the direction of Sharon Byrne, vocal music teacher, and Rick Fontaine, instrumental music teacher.

The sixth grade band opened the show with A Prehistoric Suite, A Chanukah Festival and When the Saints Go Marching In and the seventh and eighth grade band followed with Colonel Bogey, Silver Bells and Train Heading West. The Woodwind Choir played Rigadoon and Minuet in C and the Middle School Jazz Band performed Jazzers Start Your Instruments and Sunday Morning Blues.

The sixth grade choir sang Good Cheer, Salangadou, Silver Bells and Every Time I Feel the Spirit. The seventh and eighth grade choir performed Colors of the Wind, Hotaru Koi, Hanukkah Shalom and Cool Yule. The girls’ choir sang For the Beauty of the Earth and Firework and the boys’ choir performed Just the Way You Are.

The finale, featuring the Combined Choirs, was a sparkling rendition of Sleigh Ride.
