ROSELLE PARK – On Dec. 9 at the Annual St. Nicholas Party in the Msgr. Loreti Hall at the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park, 15 children of the parish were given special certificates of recognition for their artwork that appears throughout the parish’s recently published cookbook.
At the party, the children’s artwork was displayed around the hall for all to see. There had been 30 submissions from which the final 15 illustration were selected. Francesca Crincoli had the special honor of having her artwork appear on the cover and Larissa Steuber’s work was selected for the back cover. The remaining 13 children’s artwork is featured in various sections throughout the book.
The St. Nicholas party is an annual affair with home baked cookies and cupcakes, skits put on by the children of the parish, and an appearance of not only St. Nicholas, but also Santa. Of course there is also the opportunity to talk to Santa and get a picture.
The cookbook is professionally published as a 6″x9″ plastic ring bound book containing 100+ pages filled with hundreds of delicious recipes – appetizers, soups & salads, sides, entrees & desserts. There are recipes that your grandmother loved, modern favorites, and some ethnic novelties. All highlighted by the delightful illustrations from children of the Parish!
It is not too late to purchase a “Church of the Assumption’s Parish Family Cookbook” for $10 each. Call the Parish Office at 1-908-245-1107 or e-mail Ann Marie at AnnMarieP01@aol.com
