A recent survey of senior IT executives in Great Britain suggests that the telephone’s days on office desks are numbered. Sixty-five percent of the chief information officers surveyed said that smartphones will replace traditional landlines, according to an article published by The Telegraph earlier this year.
Personal computers are also on the way out, according to those senior IT executives. They will be replaced by tablet computers such as Apple’s iPad.
