Holiday Food Drive Helps Fight Hunger In New Jersey

FAIR LAWN – Columbia Bank recently collected non-perishable food, bulk pack items and paper goods as part of the community bank’s Holiday Food Drive. The items collected were shared with five New Jersey food bank programs operated by the Center for Food Action, the Lions Club of Middletown, the St. James Food Pantry, the Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services and the Food Bank of South Jersey.

As a result of this collection effort…

  • 170 filled shopping bags were distributed to the Center for Food Action in Saddle Brook.
  • 32 filled shopping bags were distributed to the Lions Club of Middletown.
  • 16 filled shopping bags were distributed to the St. James Food Pantry in Woodbridge.
  • 20 filled shopping bags were distributed to the Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services.
  • 390 pounds of food were distributed to the Food Bank of South Jersey in Pennsauken.
