RAHWAY — Six Girl Scouts from Rahway Girl Scouts Troop 41197 crossed the bridge to become Cadettes on Dec. 9. After crossing the bridge they were presented with their Bronze Award pins. The Bronze Award is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can receive after completing a project that benefits her community into the future.
These girls planned and hosted a Girl Scouts Centennial Reunion for the Rahway Girl Scouts held at the end of June. Their intent was to re-establish connections with “Old Guard” Rahway Girl Scouts spanning decades. The event was held at the Merchants and Drovers Tavern, still known to many as “The Girl Scout House.”
