EAST BRUNSWICK — Dry-cleaning students in the School of Career Development on the East Brunswick campus of the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical Schools assisted in a winter coat drive by cleaning approximately 400 donated coats to be distributed to the needy. The drive was co-sponsored by the South River Board of Health and Alternative Integrated Medical Services of East Brunswick. Here, sophomore Mercadyes Smith and senior Miguel Perez prepare a coat for cleaning. The 14 participating students, who are learning dry-cleaning and customer service in a full-service dry-cleaning shop on the campus, were supervised by teacher Thomas Grimaldi.
