Wharton Music Center Event To Benefit Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund

BERKELEY HEIGHTS – An Open Mic event at Wharton Music Center on Monday, Dec. 17, will benefit the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund founded by New Jersey’s First Lady Mary Pat Christie.

All performers including vocalists and instrumentalists, solo and groups are invited to test new material or perfect their craft before an audience. Open Mics are held once a month at Wharton Music Center located at 60 Locust Avenue in Berkeley Heights.

The Open Mic Benefit will be held on Monday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. Performers must sign up online at WhartonMusicCenter.org and sign in no later than 6 p.m. Advance tickets are available online at $10 for Adults and $5 for students under 16 and $12 at the door. Performers are free.

All styles are included: cabaret, rock, Broadway, jazz, funk, country, bluegrass, and folk. Performers may bring backing tracks or their own accompanist. Solo instrumentalists are welcome. For more information, call 1-908-790-0700.
