RAHWAY — Children Learning About Work (CLAW) at Rahway High School recently held a holiday gift sale. CLAW is an organization directed by teacher Patricia Williams that works with students to develop pre-vocational skills. Students gain hands-on learning in such areas as advertising, manufacture, assembly, computing profit margins, and operation of a cash register. This is a self-sufficient program supported by teachers’ and students’ purchases of holiday gifts. Any profits gained are used for students to take a field trip to New York City landmarks in the spring, learning to utilize public transit.
