Edison To Light Township Menorah

EDISON – The Edison Recreation Department will be joined by community, family and friends at Edison’s Annual Festival of Lights Celebration on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. This special holiday event is once again being staged inside the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Road, Edison. As in past years, the history and origin of Chanukah will be told while specially invited guests light the Township Menorah. The entire community is invited to this celebration.

Immediately after participating with Mayor Ricigliano in the Menorah Lighting Ceremony, all those in attendance are invited to join the reception at the community center. Music will be provided throughout the evening by Tuvia Zimber. Refreshments will be served and there will also be a children’s holiday craft table.

Non-perishable food donations will be accepted at this event and donated to The Jewish Family and Vocational Services Food Pantry.

This holiday event is co-sponsored by the director, Denise Halliwell and the Edison Recreation Department along with executive director, Dorothy Rubinstein of the Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County.
