SHORT HILLS – The Patriots’ Path Council of the Boy Scouts of America held the second annual Scout Scholar Athlete Award Brunch to honor young men and women in the Boy Scouts of America program who work to achieve academic success while practicing healthy living to be physically strong in their daily lives.
The council published and distributed forms for anyone to submit a nomination. After many nominations, a volunteer committee selected 62 Scouts to receive this new award. The 62 Scouts that were honored show great effort in maintaining excellent grades, and keeping active while living the Scout Oath and Law.
These young men and women were recognized on Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Hilton Short Hills from 9:15 a.m.-noon. At the event, the youth honorees also honored their mentors.
