CLARK — Students in Miss Parlavecchio’s third grade language arts literacy class at the Frank K. Hehnly School in Clark are working on their spelling words for the new spelling program “Words Your Way.” Each student had the opportunity to write their spelling words in the sand. Students were able to see the words written in the sand as they spelt them with their fingers. As partners one student read the words and fixed their partners mistakes. The other partner would write in the sand. Then the partners would switch. In the picture above, reading is Gina Peterpaul and writing is Katharine Hall (Photo courtesy of Clark Public Schools)
