PERTH AMBOY – Two local businesses recently made donations to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy.

On Nov. 19 and 20, the Bahama Breeze restaurant in Woodbridge served as a collection point for bottled water and canned goods. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy and Carteret used the donations to help people affected by Hurricane Sandy. In addition, the restaurant donated $2,000 cash for that purpose.

The Best Buy Children’s Foundation recently awarded the Boys & Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy a $10,000 grant in support of a digital arts suite. The donation will support programs to help youth develop 21st century skills.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Perth Amboy are currently running an ad journal campaign, seeking local businesses to purchase ads in a journal that will be distributed at fundraising events and be available at program sites. For more information, call 1-732-234-2114.
