BASKING RIDGE–Lord Stirling Stable, located at 256 South Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge, invites the public to enjoy the annual Holiday Horse Shows on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9.
The Stable’s horseback riding students will showcase their skills and accomplishments beginning at 9 a.m. each day. Junior students (ages 9-17 years) at levels D-3 and higher will ride on Saturday. Juniors at D-1 and D-2 levels will ride on Sunday, as will all adult students. Drill team performances are scheduled at 1 p.m. each day, with the Junior Drill Team on Saturday and the Adult Drill Team on Sunday. The Holiday Horse Shows are sponsored by Marcello’s ll Restaurant in Stirling.
The public is invited to watch Lord Stirling Stable students display their skills. Competitors vary from first time riders who have completed 10 classes to those who have completed advanced classes over fences. There is no charge for admission.
Lord Stirling Stable is located within Lord Stirling Park in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, and is nestled within 450 acres of the western portion of the Great Swamp Basin of the Passaic River. The Stable features a large indoor ring, three outdoor rings, daily Lead Line pony rides, and 18 miles of beautiful trails.
