CLARK — The Breakfast Bunch has officially begun with Miss Koddenberg at the Frank K. Hehnly School in Clark. The first guest speaker who helped kick-off the program was Olivia Ribeiro, an interior designer for the company Dancker, Sellew, and Douglas (DS&D) in Branchburg. She spoke with a small group of fifth grade students about her job in the interior design field and the steps it took her to get there.
The Breakfast Bunch is a small group of students in a designated grade who are invited to come eat breakfast in the library with Miss Koddenberg and learn about hobbies, jobs, and special interests from special guests within and outside of our community. Ribeiro spoke with the students about what it is like to be an interior designer for a company and all the decisions and hard work she has does everyday in order to complete a functional work space for them.
Students were able to see Ribeiro’s designs for an AT&T cafeteria she devised, as well as the floor, paint, and fabric samples that she used. Throughout her presentation fifth graders were able to ask questions about her job and what it entails to become an interior designer.
