WOODBRIDGE — Metropark-based BASF Corporation employees and members of the Colonia AARP participated in a post-Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive conducted by the Joint Legislative Office of state Sen. Joseph Vitale and Assemblyman Craig Coughlin. Both organizations donated hundreds of non-perishable food items, diapers, blankets, flashlights, batteries, toiletries, and toys for families affected by Hurricane Sandy. On Friday, Nov. 30, the Salvation Army, located in Perth Amboy retrieved the donated items and will distribute to needy families in Carteret, Perth Amboy, Sayreville, South Amboy and Woodbridge, among other area municipalities hard hit by the storm.
