NEWARK — This holiday season, the Newark Bears will make a difference in the lives of many underprivileged youth in Essex County.

The Bears will invite children and representatives from local youth organizations to Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium to receive season tickets donated by the club and gifts from the team’s toy drive. During this special day, Santa Claus and his helpers will deliver the gifts and greet the children, who will participate in arts and crafts while enjoying treats.

The team wants to encourage donations of unwrapped toys that will be given as gifts for these children. Donation locations are Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium, located at 450 Broad Street in Newark and Dr. Doug Spiel’s medical office located at 1921 Oak Tree Road in Edison. The toy drive will end on Dec. 12.
