EDISON – The lighting of the township’s North Edison Christmas Tree is planned for Wednesday, Dec. 5. The celebration will begin at 6:45 p.m. sharp, at the Minnie B. Veal Community Center, 1070 Grove Avenue, Edison.
This annual family event is also one of Edison’s most popular. The outside festivities will begin at 6:45 p.m., with the MLK Elementary School Chorus, the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the tree. Back inside, following the tree lighting, the MLK Elementary School Band will entertain along with Ms. Yvonne’s School of Dance. Free holiday refreshments will be available throughout the evening as well as a children’s craft table.
