ELIZABETH– Save on your automobile insurance and learn important defensive driving techniques to help avoid accidents. Union County College’s Division of Continuing Education will be offering a Defensive Driving course on the Elizabeth campus starting on Dec. 4.

Drivers who complete Garden State Safety Council’s six-hour defensive driving course save 5 percent on their automobile liability, personal injury protection and collision insurance for three years and reduce two points on their driving record. Course completion is transmitted and processed by the Department of Motor Vehicles and recorded on each student’s driving record.

The six-hour class is $75 and will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 6 from 6–9 p.m. It will take place on Union County College’s Elizabeth campus. The course code for Defensive Driving is AEDR 010 Sec 286.
