LINDEN — The Linden Police Athletic League (P.A.L.) is collecting new (or like-new) books to give as holiday presents to the children in their programs. They would like to see every child own a book for the holiday season.

If you are able to donate a book for a child, bring it (or them) to the Linden Free Public Library. There is a collection box in the main hall where people may drop off donations. The library is located at 31 East Henry Street, just off Wood Avenue, at the junction of the 7-11 Store, and Dunkin’ Donuts. Books will be collected through Wednesday, Dec. 21.
