Wardlaw-Hartridge Athletes Earn All-GMC Honors

EDISON — Thirteen athletes from The Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, including the entire roster of starters on the girls’ varsity tennis team, earned All-Greater Middlesex Conference honors this fall. Athletic Director Karl Miran presented the athletes with certificates on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

Valentina Margiottiello of Colonia, who was also named All-Conference, led a contingent of girls’ soccer players that included Mairead Forrest of Parlin, Taylor Gerhart of Winfield Park, Neema Liverpool of Plainfield and Nina Pangan of Colonia. Matt Nader of Scotch Plains represented the boys’ soccer team on the All-GMC roster.

Katie Buchbinder of Scotch Plains, the county first singles champion, was selected to the All-Division and All-Conference teams. Teammates Charlotte Greaney of Scotch Plains, Cecily D’Amore of Scotch Plains, Jessica Cheng of Edison, Pranali Soni of Edison, Emily Wexler of Scotch Plains and Claire Greaney of Scotch Plains also made the All-Division team. Ron Haynes was named Coach of the Year.
