Winning Powerball Tickets Sold In Arizona & Missouri

TRENTON – There were two winning tickets in last night’s Powerball drawing, splitting a record jackpot $587.5 million jackpot. They were sold in Arizona and Missouri.

The winning numbers for Wednesday, Nov. 28, are 5, 16, 22, 23, and 29. The red Powerball number is 6.

Tickets worth $1 million for matching the five numbers but not the Powerball were sold in 25 states, including New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Tickets worth $2 million for matching the five numbers and selecting the Power Play option were sold in seven states, including Connecticut.

Overall there were 8,924,125 prize-winning tickets sold for the Nov. 28 drawing.

Powerball is played in 42 states, with drawings held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510; the odds of winning a prize are 1 in 31.85.
