CLARK — First grade students in Miss Price’s class at Frank K. Hehnly Elementary enjoy using “whisper phones” during reading lessons. The whisper phones allow the students to read aloud to themselves in quiet voice, which is then projected right to their ear so that it is loud enough for them to hear. It helps them to be able to sound words out and actually hear the sounds they are making so they can form the words. Pictured reading above are Alesso Perentin and Vincent Gioffre.
