TRENTON – The two winning tickets that split last night’s record Powerball $587.5 million jackpot were sold in Arizona and Missouri, but eight New Jersey Lottery players won $1 million in the Nov. 28 drawing.
The winning numbers for Wednesday, Nov. 28, are 5, 16, 22, 23, and 29. The red Powerball number is 6.
The million dollar tickets were sold at Bally’s Park Place in Atlantic City, Hess Express #30516 in Fort Lee, 7-Eleven 312883 in Englewood, Sunset Deli & Liquor in Kearny, Corner Store in Bayonne, Danforth Deli in Jersey City, Kary Candy & Wash in Union City, Hudson County and Fleet Petroleum in Lakewood.
In addition, New Jersey Lottery retailers sold 31 third prize-winning tickets: two purchased with Powerplay that are worth $40,000 and 29 others worth $10,000. According to New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger, 450,773 New Jersey Lottery players took home an estimated $2,745,161 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200,
Powerball is played in 42 states, with drawings held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. The jackpot resets to $40 million for the Saturday, Dec. 1, drawing. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510; the odds of winning a prize are 1 in 31.85.
