ELIZABETH — Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth sponsored a Food Drive for Thanksgiving to help those who have fallen upon hard times experience a blessed holiday meal. Students, staff, parents and friends from the all-female Catholic college prep high school brought many cans and boxes of dry goods to be donated to the Community Food Bank in Hillside.

“Together, we can and are making our world a better place!” Benedictine Academy Campus Minister Linda Michalski noted. “The donations were a tremendous help during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and, for Thanksgiving,” she added. “Our students are filled with passion to make a difference in this world, and, our entire school community showed how we can all make a difference when we join together.”
