CLARK — As the first marking period came to a close, seventh grade mathematics students in Miss Faro’s class at the Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark took part in a raffle to celebrate their first marking period accomplishments. Throughout the first marking period, students received raffle tickets for various accomplishments. Students could earn tickets for participation, high test or quiz scores, winning review games, and other classroom activities.

All students were able to submit as many tickets as they would like into the drawing, but some students chose to save their tickets for the next raffle. Miss Faro drew out 10 tickets for each class period to win various prizes including free Friendly’s ice cream cones, Chili’s appetizer vouchers and as well as other prizes. Some students received class vouchers such as, choose who you “sit with for the next marking period” and “sit at the teacher’s desk for a week.” Students were excited to enter their tickets into the raffle and are looking forward to next marking period’s raffle already.
