CLARK — Kindergartners in Meghan Zampella, Megan Luccarelli, and Adrienne Dubitsky’s classes at Valley Road School in Clark went on their first field trip last Friday. They spent the week reading, singing, and coloring nursery rhymes in preparation for their trip to see the show Humpty Dumpty and the Big Book of Nursery Rhymes at South Orange Performing Arts Center. Many students had never ridden on a bus or seen a live theater production before and were very excited. The show featured many familiar nursery rhyme characters and was interactive with the audience allowing the students to sing along with and shout out ideas to the performers. Students made a class book of their favorite parts of the play when they returned. Many of them said their favorite part was how funny Humpty Dumpty was and how good the singers were.
