RAHWAY – For many local residents, Lloyd Garrison’s nostalgic Christmas cards are a holiday tradition. This year’s card, “The Rahway Diner,” recalls an eatery that stood on the corner of Main Street until the mid-1990s when it was disassembled and moved to a location in California. Santa Claus has stopped for a bite with his reindeer parked outside. Garrison says, “This coming year will probably be the last of my series of Rahway Christmas cards. I’m very lucky to be an artist and paint scenes of my own hometown that I remember so well. The images seem to bring a lot of people the old Christmas spirit.” Garrison will be at the Union County Performing Arts Center on Thursday evening, Dec. 6. His cards are also available for sale from Lloyd’s Gallery; call 1-609-918-1776 or visit www.lloydgarrison.com for more information. (Image courtesy of Lloyd Garrison)
