NEWARK – Olivia Newton-John will perform Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at NJPAC in Newark for the 10th Anniversary of Musical Moments to benefit the New Jersey Metro Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Proceeds from this event will also benefit the Neurological Institute of New Jersey at New Jersey Medical School and support research, local MS Wellness Centers and MS Clinics as well as critical programs in the community for 13,000 people in New Jersey living with MS and their families.
Newton-John’s appeal is timeless has sold over 100 million albums and won four Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, as well as numerous Country Music, American Music and People’s Choice Awards, In 1978, her co-starring role as Sandy Olsson in “Grease” catapulted her to superstardom. This film’s best-selling soundtrack featured the duets “You’re The One That I Want” and “Summer Nights,” with John Travolta, as well as her mega-hit, “Hopelessly Devoted To You.” To date “Grease” remains the most successful movie musical in history.
