SOUTH BRUNSWICK– The Middlesex County Surrogate Court will open its 10th satellite office on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the South Brunswick Municipal Building, located at 540 Ridge Road in Monmouth Junction.
The satellite office will handle all probate matters such as wills, administrations and guardianship of minors that are handled at the main office in New Brunswick.
“The satellite offices enable the County to meet the needs of our residents by offering times and locations that are convenient for them,” said Middlesex County Surrogate Kevin J. Hoagland. “It’s not always easy or even possible for some people to get to our main office, so we go to them.”
The South Brunswick office will be open Tuesday mornings by appointment starting Nov. 20. Call 1-732-745-3055 to make an appointment.
Hoagland said township officials requested the office be opened due to a high number of resident inquiries.
“We are pleased that the Middlesex County Surrogate Office will be bringing its services directly to our residents in South Brunswick,” said Mayor Frank Gambatese. “I am aware of the satellite offices in some of the other municipalities, and we’re honored to have an office here for our residents as well.”
“The new office will become part of an already impressive network,” said Freeholder Blanquita B. Valenti, Chair of the County’s Community Services Committee. “The support offered by each of these locations greatly benefits anyone who may have need of these vital services.”
The South Brunswick Satellite Office joins satellite offices in Woodbridge, Edison, Piscataway, East Brunswick, Monroe, North Brunswick, Spotswood, Metuchen and Perth Amboy.
“We’re happy to be a partner in Surrogate Kevin Hoagland’s initiative,” said South Brunswick Councilman Charles Carley. “The South Brunswick satellite office will provide more convenient access for probate and adoption procedures. It’s a great convenience for South Brunswick residents.”
“It was a pleasure working with Surrogate Hoagland and his staff to establish a satellite office in South Brunswick,” said South Brunswick Township Manager Bernard Hvozdovic. “This is a service of vital importance and it will now be easier, quicker, and more economical for our residents to access the Surrogate’s office and its many services.”
“One of the County’s top priorities is to offer our residents easy access to quality services,” said Freeholder Director Christopher D. Rafano. “The Middlesex County Surrogate Satellite Offices exemplify that standard of accessibility and are a great example of county and local government working together to meet the needs of our residents.”
