CLARK — Students in Christine Cemelli’s fourth grade class at Valley Road School in Clark explore the significance and history of Veteran’s Day. The students discussed how Veteran’s Day started and why it is so important to thank those who served our country. After reading about the topic and discussing it during Reader’s Workshop, students created a symbol to show their appreciation of veterans. Cemelli said, “After the students had met a veteran and asked him questions, they were extremely excited to learn more about Veteran’s Day!” (Photo courtesy of Clark Public Schools)
