Police Arrest Man Allegedly Trying To Steal Refrigerator

PERTH AMBOY – Police arrested a man who was allegedly trying to steal a refrigerator from his neighbor’s Brighton Avenue home on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Officer Joseph Holland and Special Police Officer Anthony Garcia responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 3:40 p.m. They found that the home’s first floor rear door had been forced open and discovered found Antonio Ruiz Domenech, 45, attempting to push a refrigerator towards that door.

According to police, Ruiz Domenech had also disassembled various parts with the use of wire cutters, a screwdriver, an adjustable pair of pliers and a knife which were on his person. He was placed under arrest and charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Judge Maria Del Valle Koch set bail at $25,000 with no 10 percent option.

The charges against Ruiz Domenech are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent unless and until he is proven guilty.
