Middlesex Waterfront Closed To Public Access

MIDDLESEX COUNTY — All waterfront and beach areas are closed until further notice, Middlesex County officials announced today. Signs have been posted at all beach and waterfront areas informing the public to stay off the beaches and out of the water.

The Middlesex County Office of Health Services has been working with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, United States Coast Guard and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to assess the damage and health risks resulting from Hurricane Sandy along Middlesex County’s coastline.
