NEWARK — On Veterans Day, the Newark Museum invites everyone to experience its newest docent led tour: The Way of the Warrior in Art. From the Greek myth of Herakles and legends of Japanese samurai to the saga of Sitting Bull and the heroic Minutemen of the United State’s first militia, visitors will see how warriors have been honored in art.
This tour is available to everyone who visits the Newark Museum on Veterans Day at 1 and 3 p.m. It is also offered during the first Saturday of every month at 1 and 3 p.m .
The museum offers special year-round reduced pricing for veterans: $6admission for all veterans and up to five family members.
The Newark Museum is located at 49 Washington Street in Newark.
