Thousands Still Waiting For Electricity

STATE – PSE&G hopes to have power back on for “virtually” all of its customers by Friday. JCP&L said Saturday, but that was before approximately 120,000 more customers lost power because of yesterday’s nor’easter.

The 149,000 JCP&L customers and the 70,000 PSE&G customers who have been without electricity since Hurricane Sandy struck last week have little choice but to wait.

As of 6 a.m., here were PSE&G’s totals by municipality for Middlesex and Union counties:
