ELIZABETH — Elizabeth PBA Local #4 will host the second Jingle Bell Run 5K on Sunday, Dec. 2, at The Outlet Collection at Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth. This year’s proceeds will benefit Children’s Specialized Hospital, the nation’s largest provider of pediatric rehabilitation services with ten sites in New Jersey serving over 19,000 children with special needs each year. The hospital serves children affected by brain injury, spinal cord injury, premature birth, autism, developmental delays, and life-changing illnesses.
“We always knew what a fine place Children’s Specialized Hospital was but, after taking a tour of the facilities we fully realized that these were very special children being cared for by extraordinary people who deserve our support in any way we can,” said Richard Steinke, Elizabeth PBA Local #4 president. “Also, it helps spread the word about the great things Children’s Specialized Hospital does for our children and their families.”
Registration cost is $25 prior to Nov. 24, after that date and same say registration is $35. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers. Race day registration begins at 7 a.m.; Fun Run with Santa at 8:15 a.m.; 5K race starts at 8:30 a.m.; pancake breakfast following race start. Awards ceremony at 9:45 a.m. in the mall food court.
