Cranford Superintendent Updates Parents On School Status

CRANFORD – Power was restored this morning to another Cranford School, Superintendent Dr. Gayle Carrick said this afternoon, but a transformer has recently blown resulting in the loss of power and heat to a school that was previously operational.

Workers are in the process of installing two large emergency generators at two Cranford schools which school officials anticipate will be completed by midnight.

Carrick planned to update parents  about the district’s ability to reopen schools by 7 p.m. this evening.
