NEWARK — Due to the ongoing challenges surrounding the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Aretha Franklin announced today she has postponed her upcoming concert at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10.
The rescheduled concert will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 7 p.m. Tickets purchased for the Nov. 10 performance will be honored at the rescheduled date. Current ticketholders for the performance will be contacted directly by the NJPAC Ticket Services Department. Patrons may also contact an NJPAC ticket representative at 1-888-466-5722.
Tickets, priced at $39.50, $59.50, $79.50, $99.50, $149.50 (incl. $3 facility fee) are also available for the new date, Saturday, March 30, 2013 by calling 1-888-GO-NJPAC (1-888-466-5722), online at www.NJPAC.org or in person at NJPAC Box Office, One Center Street in downtown Newark.
In a statement, Franklin apologized for the postponement. “To The Honorable Mayor Cory A. Booker, the community of Newark, New Jersey, New York City, it is with sincere regrets that we will have to reschedule the concert on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center due to the many troubling issues still facing the community at large. I will keep you in my prayers going forward and will see you soon.”
