Cranford Post-Storm Update: Trick-Or-Treating Still Postponed

CRANFORD – Township officials are advising parents that trick-or-treating is still postponed and a date has not yet been determined for it.

Northside curbside recycling is on schedule for Tuesday, Nov. 6

The Conservation Center is open all week for residents. No permit is required. Contractors are not allowed to dump debris at the center.

The Recreation Center, 224 Walnut Avenue, is open as a shelter and warning center for those in need.
As of 11:30 a.m., township officials said that these gas stations were open:

  • Exxon – South Avenue/Centennial Avenue
  • Citgo – North Avenue/Orchard Street
  • Gas – North Avenue/Springfield Avenue
  • Shell – Raritan Road
  • Shell – North Avenue/Carpenter Place
  • Sunoco – Centenial Avenue/Myrtle Street
  • Express – South Avenue/Washington Place

As of 11:30 a.m., the following streets remained closed:

1. Springfield Avenue— Rutgers Road to Kenilworth BIvd
2. Springfield Avenue – Tulip Street to Doering Way
3. Makatom Drive – Morningside Place to Dartmouth Road/Orchard St
4. Hampton Road – West End Place to Springfield Avenue
5. Roger Avenue at Lexington Avenue
6. High Street – Hawthorn Street to Elm Street
7. Bluff Street at High Street
8. Morse Street – Denman Road to Connecticut Street
9. Concord Street – Denman Road to Connecticut Street
10. Severin Court – One way section closed
11. Jackson Drive – Commerce Drive to 55 Jackson (Graingers)
12. Mohawk Drive at Raritan Road
13. Mohawk – Lexington Avenue to Osage Drive
14. Lexington Avenue – Mohawk Drive to Osage Drive
15. Herning Avenue – Dunham Avenue to Belmont Avenue
16. Riverside Drive at Normandie Place
17. Riverside Drive – Springfield Avenue to Claremont Avenue
18. Craig Place – Orange Avenue to Central Avenue
19. Linden Place – Orange Avenue to Casino Avenue
20. Central Avenue – Riverside Drive to Claremont Avenue
21. Cranford Avenue – Arlington Road to Elizabeth Avenue
22. John Street – North Avenue to Hamilton Avenue
23. Bloomingdale Avenue – Elizabeth Avenue to Haskins Avenue
24. Franklin Avenue – Clinton Street to Normandie Place
