Buono Opens Office To Hurricane Power Outage Victims

Sen. Barbara Buono

EDISON –State Sen. Barbara Buono (D-Middlesex) announced that her office will be providing outlets today for those who need to charge their phones and will be collecting donations for residents who are in dire need of non-perishable food, blankets, and flashlights. Hot coffee will also be available for those who need to warm up.

“This was a storm unlike anything we’ve ever seen,” Buono said. “We are on a long haul to recovery and we need to do everything we can to help those in need, especially those who have been displaced or are without power and heat.”

The office will be collecting non-perishable food, diapers, toiletries, lanterns, flashlights, batteries, and blankets for delivery to needy residents throughout the district.

“As the temperature drops and residents continue to be without electricity and heat, it is vital that we come together to help our community get through this very difficult time,” said Buono. “Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.”
