PERTH AMBOY – Raritan Bay Medical Center’s Old Bridge and Perth Amboy locations received minimal damage and flooding from Hurricane Sandy. Both are fully operational.
Currently, the emergency departments at Old Bridge and Perth Amboy are experiencing a high volume of patients. Residents are encouraged to visit Raritan Bay Medical Center’s Medical Pavilion at Woodbridge urgent care center, 740 Route 1 North, Iselin, NJ, for non-life threatening, minor conditions and ailments, open Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
A visit to an emergency department is needed for the following symptoms:
- Chest pain
- Trouble breathing
- Sudden dizziness or weakness
- Severe abdominal pain
- Unstoppable bleeding
- Change in vision
- Severe or persistent vomiting, or vomiting blood
Care can be provided at the Medical Pavilion at Woodbridge for common illnesses; colds, sore throats and cuts (providing stitches and their removal), eye, ear and sinus infections and chronic conditions; asthma, allergies and digestive disorders.
