RAHWAY — Sixth grade Gifted and Talented students in Rahway gathered together to meet an attorney, James S. Lacorte, Surrogate for Union County, who spoke to them about conducting a mock trial simulation. Students are currently learning about legal issues with their teachers, Margaret Cilia, Debby Geis,Nikki Haywood, and Susan Rubino. Students will be submitting original mock trial cases to the Law Fair 2013 Competition, which is sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. The purpose of this competition is to promote understanding of the law and our justice system, and to educate students about their rights and responsibilities under the law. Pictured is James S.
