Moss Named Medical Director Of Trinitas Wound Healing Center

ELIZABETH —  The Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine at Trinitas Regional Medical Center has named Charles M. Moss, MD, its Medical Director. Board Certified in Surgery with a subspecialty certification in Vascular Surgery, Dr. Moss is also Board Certified in Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine.

“We are thrilled to welcome such a highly trained and experienced physician such as Dr. Moss to our Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine,” said Gary S. Horan, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer at Trinitas. “The many patients who look to us for care will benefit from his vast expertise.”

A graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Moss served a surgical internship at Yale New-Haven Hospital and Medical Center, New Haven, Connecticut. He served a residency in Surgery at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center, Bronx, New York. He is a member of many professional societies, including the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, the Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine Society, the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine, and The Wound Healing Society.

Dr. Moss served as President of the following organizations: the Bergen County Medical Society; the Vascular Society of New Jersey; the Association of Medical Specialty Societies of New Jersey, and the Medical Society of New Jersey. He served as a member of the Health Emergency Preparedness Advisory Committee to the Governor, and currently serves as a Council Member of the American College of Surgeons, New Jersey Chapter, and as a Delegate from New Jersey to the American Medical Association. He has authored more than 50 papers, abstracts and book chapters, and has lectured around the world on topics relating to vascular surgery, cardiovascular disease and wound healing.

Of his appointment at Trinitas, Dr. Moss stated, “I am absolutely impressed with the professionalism and knowledge that the staff of the Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine brings to the patient. I look forward to continuing a fine tradition of excellent patient care at this institution.”
