Voluntary Evacuation In Effect For Carteret

CARTERET – Borough residents who feel they are in danger from the storm or who live in homes that have flooded before are encouraged to stay with friends or family members who live on higher ground, officials said, but mandatory evacuation orders have not been issued.

There are two shelters open for residents who need them:

  • Carteret Middle School at Carteret Avenue
  • Nathan Hale School at Roosevelt Avenue
