NEW YORK, N.Y. — Taylor Swift will perform three shows at the Prudential Center in Newark in March. The performances will be part of a North American tour that was announced by the six-time Grammy Award winner on Friday.
The tour support’s Swift’s new album, Red, which was released last week. It has already topped the iTunes album sales charts in 40 countries. These three March dates will mark Swift’s third visit to The ROck, making what will be nine total shows played here.
On the Red Tour, Swift is currently slated to headline 58 shows in 45 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces in 2013. The tour will kick-off on March 13 in Omaha, Nebraska and continue through September. Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, whose duet with Swift from her Red album, “Everything Has Changed,” has already reached the #1 position atop iTunes all-genre Top Songs chart, will be a special guest on all of the shows on the tour.
